Midnight Passion is a celebration of the extraordinary connection between the moon, our memories, and the stories that shape who we become.

Long before I was given my name, my father had already chosen one for me.

Moonlight.

It was the name he wished to give his daughter when I was born. My mother, however, had other ideas, and together they decided I would be named after my father's mother, my grandmother.

Although Moonlight never became my name, it would remain a beautiful part of my story.

My father held a lifelong fascination with the moon. Beneath moonlit skies, he would share stories of our Celtic ancestry, reminding me of the generations who walked before us and the heritage that would forever be part of who I am.

Those moments taught me that the night sky was more than something beautiful to admire. It was a place where stories were shared, memories were created, and a father passed pieces of his world on to his daughter.

As I grew older, I came to appreciate how humanity's fascination with the moon stretches far beyond my own childhood.

For thousands of years, people have observed its changing phases to measure time, organise calendars and understand the passing seasons. Among the ancient Celtic peoples, the relationship between lunar and solar cycles is reflected in the remarkable Coligny calendar, a surviving testament to their knowledge of the heavens.

And so, what began as a childhood memory became a deeper appreciation of the moon's enduring place within human history.

Midnight Passion was created to honour the name I was never given, the heritage I was taught to remember, and the father who first taught me to look towards the moon with wonder.
